Perforated media
Precision, punched.
Perforated plate in every pattern and gauge, from screen decks and centrifuge baskets to architectural façades, supplied as plate or finished component.
Perforated plate is the structural member of the separation toolbox: exact holes in exact positions, with open area you can calculate instead of estimate. Round, square, rectangular or slotted, straight or staggered: each pattern trades strength against throughput in a predictable way.
Averinox supplies perforated media as plate, or takes it all the way to component: cut, bent, rolled, welded and assembled. Typical work ranges from centrifuge baskets and screen decks to drum sections, guards and support plates for finer mesh.
The same material has a second life in architecture. Under IndustryMeetsDesign®, perforated and expanded plate becomes stairs, balustrades, ceilings and façade panels, with colours, patterns and even printed images on request.

Materials & variants
Mild and galvanised steel for structural work; 304/316L where corrosion or hygiene demands it; aluminium for weight-critical and architectural use. Special alloys on project basis. Patterns and plate are selected together, since hole size, pitch and thickness limit each other.
Frequently asked questions
How do I specify a perforated plate correctly?
Give us hole shape and size, pitch and pattern angle, plate thickness, material and the margins (unperforated borders). If you only know the process duty, send that instead; we calculate open area and strength for you.
Can you match an existing worn plate?
Yes. Send a sample or photo with key measurements and we reverse-engineer the pattern, usually improving the margin layout to extend service life.
What open area do 3 mm holes on a 5 mm pitch give?
For round holes in a 60° staggered pattern: s = 0.906·(d/a)², so 0.906 × (3/5)² ≈ 33%. The same formula scales to any diameter/pitch pair, which is why we publish it: you can check throughput before you ask us to check strength.
How small can holes be relative to plate thickness?
For punching, the working rule is hole diameter ≥ plate thickness; below that, tooling wear and burrs take over. If the process really needs finer openings than the plate allows, a woven or sintered layer on a coarser perforated support is usually the economical answer.
Do you supply complete centrifuge baskets or only plate?
Both. Plate is cut, rolled, welded and assembled in-house, and centrifuge baskets and basket retrofits are typical work. Send the machine type and basket drawing, or the worn basket itself, and we quote the finished component.
